Owens Recreational Park at Bull Creek NC is located at 499 Massenburg Baker Street, Louisburg, NC. It offers fishing ponds, canoe entry, and a disc golf course. The park opened in 2003 and is a wonderful place for all ages. It was developed on 32 acres donated by Mr. Joyner. There is a paved strolling path, nature trails, and a picnic shelter. Disc golf course
Franklin County Parks and Recreation has recently announced the opening of the new 18-hole disc golf course in Owens Park. The course is located at 499 Massenburg Baker Road in Louisburg. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, you can do so for $250 initially and $100 per year. Hole sponsors receive recognition on the park’s social media pages. The course is scheduled to open in November 2020.

There are several areas to explore, including a 0.5-mile paved walking trail, 3K and five-mile nature trails, children’s playgrounds, a picnic shelter, fishing ponds, and a golf course.
Renaming
Franklin County officials are moving closer to purchasing the golf course and country club that is situated at Bull Creek. Commissioners approved the purchase of the 167-acre property on Monday. It features a 3,200 square-foot clubhouse, two other buildings with a combined floor space of 4,000 square feet, and four ponds. It is also home to a zoo. Next Article.
